St Catherine's Foyer is a housing project in Dublin 8 which provides
accommodation for up to 40 homeless; or in danger of being homeless,
young adults between the ages of 18-25. While our primary aim is to provide
a safe, high quality environment for our residents to live in, this is done in
partnership with a Personal Development Plan for each and every resident.
Our central ethos; that encompasses everything we do, is the importance of
personal development. In this regard all residents have an allocated Key
Worker who assists the individual in making life choices that will support
them to ‘break the cycle of homelessness’. Together with the Key Worker, a
resident of the Foyer will negotiate a goal focused plan that will centre on
areas such as:
● Training / College/ Back to Education
● Job Search
● Emotional Development
● Practical Skills (For example, advice on budgeting / life skills etc.)
